In a dystopian future, society is controlled by a totalitarian state where emotions are suppressed by mandatory medication and human relations are prohibited. THX 1138, a dutiful factory worker, begins to question everything after being exposed to the dangerous ideas of his housemate, LUH 3417. As the rebellion in his heart grows, he must choose between blind obedience or escape from this sterile world—if there is a way out. Can humans survive without freedom?
