Richard Collier, a successful writer who is hit by a dead end, finds a photo of the beautiful actress Elise McKenna in an old hotel. Fascinated, he investigates Elise's past and is shocked to realize that the mysterious old woman who gave him the pocket watch eight years ago is Elise herself. With hypnosis, Richard forces himself back to 1912 to meet Elise, but their love is thwarted by his possessive manager. Can Richard fight the fate of time, or will he be separated from Elise forever?
