Ship of Fools
In 1933, a German ship carried a variety of passengers—from Spanish aristocrats to farm laborers to Nazi sympathizers—on a tense voyage to Bremerhaven. In the midst of the forbidden love between the ship's doctor and La Condesa, social, political and racial conflict erupts. Set against the looming backdrop of World War II, each character is entangled in their own destiny. This Oscar-winning film is a poignant portrait of humanity on the brink of destruction—will they survive, or will they drown in the madness of the times?
