Pather Panchali
Little Apu's life in an Indian village is colorful, but also bitter. His father, a poor poet, spent the inheritance to pay off his brother's debts. His mother, Sarbojaya, struggles hard to support the family while enduring insults from neighbors because Durga, Apu's older sister, often steals fruit. When his father disappeared and Durga fell ill, his sorrow deepened. This film presents a portrait of life that is both heartbreaking and charming, where hope and pain go hand in hand.
