Kishorilal, a successful businessman in America, wants to marry his westernized son, Rajiv, to a pure Indian girl, Kusum Ganga. Arjun, Kishorilal's adopted son, is tasked with bringing them together. However, the beautiful plan falls apart when Kusum finds out that Rajiv is not her ideal man. Arjun, who is secretly in love with Kusum, is caught in a conflict between tradition and modernity.
