Summer on Amity Island turns into a nightmare when a great white shark terrorizes the beach. Sheriff Brody wants to close the beach, but political pressure makes him relent—until a child dies. With a bounty on the predator's head, amateur hunters flood the island. Brody, oceanographer Hooper, and tough fisherman Quint set sail to hunt the monster.
