Black Summer

Black Summer takes viewers to the arid Australian outback in the midst of the most extreme dry season in history, where devastating bushfires begin to surround a small, isolated town. The storyline follows the struggles of a local detective and a volunteer firefighter who must work together to evacuate residents trapped in the midst of an out-of-control fire. The heart of the story moves on the tension between human survival instincts against the angry forces of nature, while resources and communications are slowly cut off. The conflict is exacerbated by the townspeople's old secrets starting to come to light as mass panic sets in, forcing each character to confront their past sins before the fire consumes everything. Will they succeed in finding a way out of this green hell, or will they become victims of a disaster they themselves triggered?
