A NASA satellite crashes in Piedmont, New Mexico, killing almost all of its residents—except a baby and an old drunk. The team of scientists led by Dr. Stone is deployed to the secret Wildfire facility to isolate the alien biological threat. But they are unaware that the organism has mutated, and their own laboratory may become their grave. Will they find a solution before the auto-destructive nuke explodes?
