Richard Hannay, a stranger in London, is drawn into a deadly conspiracy after a mysterious woman dies in his apartment. Accused of being a murderer, he is forced to go on the run while trying to decipher the text "39 Steps" which could reveal a dangerous spy ring. With the police and an unknown enemy behind him, can he prove the truth before it's too late?
